WBA vs Aston Villa Match Thread
« on: December 20, 2020, 06:15:53 PM »
Do what we did the other night versus Burnley and we will be converting some of those chances. We played some lovely stuff and cut a team open that did precisely what the bitters will do today for Allardyce. They are missing arguably their best player in Pereira so that's good for us too. Let's get into them, dominate possession, defend with discipline and put away our chances when we they arrive. And we will get them.

When Barkley got injured I joked about seeing him back for the Manure game.  I’m not far wrong.  Villa and injuries Jeez.

Still no Konsa or Barkley ?

It’s very unlike us to have a player out injured for longer than normal 🙄

Indeed. FFS, starting to wonder if we’ll see him in a Villa shirt again.

Hamstring injuries cannot be rushed back. Of course we are not better without him and that has shown. But we've done ok of late and to be honest if we need him to beat this lot we have bigger issues.

I'd like to see us make it 7 points out of 9. We have more than enough weapons out there to accomplish that.

Stuff these losers.

Pretty sure I heard either Chiles or Skinner once refer to us as a “silly named club”, wasn’t full blooded, just a petty, gormless dig by someone whose footballing life has been made grim for following a loser club. They can joke all they like about boings and ridiculous mascots all they like also being quirky, doesn’t hide the fact that they’ve had a pretty miserable existence for decades. Let’s keep it that way Villa, come on!

That’s right. Bit gutted he’s not playing, but rush him back after a hamstring and it goes again, he’d likely be out for months.
Cmon the villa!

It seems like it'll be a fast, open game between two teams noted for their attractive football. I'm looking forward to a great advert for local football irrespective of the result.

It's incredibly frustrating. The bench is a complete joke as well, 5 defensive players, a rookie and a striker that never scores.
