Again, the first goal is going to be important, get that and we win.

I don't think that has to be the case. Albion have shown plenty of times to throw games away having taken the lead. Now I'll concede we've not come back to win either, but that's got to change at some point. I think they will score but they're not suddenly going to stop being the shit defence after a couple of days of Allardyce. I think some are putting way too much stock in this mythical new manager bounce.

What I’d add though is that Fat Sam will introduce his style of game management very quickly. They’ll soon be like Watford were last season. If they go a goal up, expect them to take forever on throw ins and goal kicks etc.

It sounds obvious, but at least if we’re ahead, it should help the game to keep moving rather than being disrupted all the time.

We have the 3rd best defence in the league and the most clean sheets.

I'll be most disappointed if these Jurassic football playing, Lee jeans with tucked in replica shirts and black shoes wearing, scrap iron tatting, stripey fucking inbreds score a goal.

Doubt they'll be winning any 'moral victories' this time. We'll have to be on our game at defending set plays to prevent them from claiming any other kind.

What I fully expect is an all out assault on Jack. It wouldn’t surprise me if Allardyce launches grenades into that part of the pitch wherever Jack is standing. Put me down for a fiver on one the bitters being stupid and getting a red.

Didn’t Hassenhutl say his players were knackered playing us or did I imagine that?

I knew someone had said it but couldn't remember who so didn't mention it specifically.

This is my Derby. I hate them. Everything about them.

Most old school Olbyun hate us with a passion bordering on obsession. The more recent hatred they have for Wolves only happened because they were both down in the shit leagues for a few years and we didn't play them. Make no mistake, they hate us.

I hope we hammer them, the dirty Tesco carrier bag wearing, Wrens nest scummer employing, Lord Is My Shepherd singing, boing boinging Stripey filth !!!!

The house that backs onto ours (technically their field at least) is called Wrens Nest and they have a gardener (yeah I know) that comes every Friday and loves a fire. I think he even brings material from other jobs he has although I haven’t proved that yet. My missus - who likes to try and dry washing outside whenever possible - hates them with a passion. I don’t know if they’re Albion but I run past their place in my Villa shorts and haven’t been slide tackled yet

This, this is all true. We simply have to beat these and preferably bear them comprehensively.
