Barkley back and we win 3-0. Otherwise, another draw.

It pisses me off when clubs change managers just before we play them.  Invariably it means the players try that little bit harder to impress the new gaffer.

Hopefully, no matter how hard they try, the fact they're fundamentally shit means we'll still give them a good stuffing.

I'd love to know if there is a stat, but it feels like we have the most matches against newly appointed managers record.

As long as we destroy them and pick up 3 points I'll be happy.

As long as it's a good clean game and enjoyable for the neutral, that's all I ask for. May the best team win.

You've been at the sherry haven't you?

Head says Albion will have the new manager bounce. Heart says we are the better team and Fat Sam hasn't had much time to prepare his new team. I am predicting a 1-1 draw.

This’ll be tough with bloody Allardyce in charge. Good to have Doug and Cash back. Hopefully Konsa will be too.

Why will it be? He’ll have been in the job a couple of days. They don’t have our quality to bridge the gap in that time. Now can I see them being much more disciplined next time we play them? Yes.

If we create as many chances as we did last night we will smash them as there’s no way what happened last night will repeat itself in a 0-0 score line.

I’ll go 3-1 us - Watkins, AEG and Jack

The new manager bounce has as much grounding in reality as the manager of the month curse.

Hope we are back to something like full strength
would have been more difficult with a full house and the new manager bounce
 but 3 points for us . 2-0

What all 26000 of them  - fucking upstarts you just watch one of them clonk jack or anyone else that has a bit of flair

Although disappointed last nights efforts did not see us get 3 pts it was not for the want of trying - only poor finishing

No excuses for these fuckers - we need to fuck em, and fuck em hard

Ask Forest and Sheff Wednesday fans how they are feeling about the new manager bounce right now.

I’m pretty sure we went on a run of beating teams when their new manager was in charge for the first game, mainly in the championship. We beat Boro in Pulis’s first game and Sunderland in Coleman’s but I think there may have been one or two other examples too.
