I think we might just edge it 1:0 Watkins

Worried about this one. Any time I expect us to win this season we don't.

Can't see them scoring, it's just weather we break them down.  0-0 or 1-0 Villa.
Other than set pieces, high lofted crosses and the odd break out of defence on the long hoof.
I know their current-season goalscoring is poor, but they have the capacity to hurt teams that don't defend set pieces very well.

Give Jack a day off.

Isn't Jack one yellow card away from a ban?

Targett
Mings
Konsa
Guilbert

Nkamaba
McGinn

Barkley

Grealish
Watkins

Thursday evening? I'm sure I can find something else to do after my tuition session.

If we can take the lead we should be fine. Burnley remind me of a steve bruce side. They go out with plan A but if it goes tits up they dont have a plan B

No, but Targett and McGinn are.

Going to be a difficult one I suspect. We know what they will do, sit their back four across their 18 yard box and try and hit Wood at every opportunity. In saying that, as poor as we were last season we still took four points off these. We will have had an extra days rest in the legs too. Kind of game we will be reliant on some Grealish magic to break the deadlock.

I think we'll get a few free-kicks in and around that area, and who better than Hourihane to take advantage?

Given how easy it is to pick up a booking these days - the five card ban rule needs looking at.  Time was when you got five bookings you were genuinely considered to be a dirty fecker.  Targett hardly fits that category.

Me too.  It will be interesting to see if Nakamba is trusted this season, but he deserves his chance to show what he can do I suppose.  Reckon his physicality might be needed.

Given the way the season's gone so far, this is as nailed on a victory for Burnley as you're likely to get.
I'm with you Risso ….this has 1-2 written all over it :(

If we'd managed even draws against West Ham, Brighton, and Southampton, we'd go third with a win against Burnley, and top if we won our game in hand.
