If it hadn't been international break all of our players would have played two or three games.  Mings only played half an hour in the last England game.

We shouldn’t be losing this, although we look wide open at the back at times. Mings and McGinn...when they are good, they are very good, but when they are not...

Not sure why Traore is receiving a bit of stick. I think he has been solid.

He's been tidy, but a £20m wide player should be capable of beating a man, or at least attempting it once or twice.

Dean?
I thought it was the players defending and misses the target to be honest. We’ve played very well but missed sitters and made mistakes at the back. Can’t knock Dean for that.

Just watching their goal again, what the fuck was Mings doing?
Not entirely his fault. The whole defence have clearly been told to play a really high line. Just playing to instructions.

McGinn has been really off.

I'm a huge fan of SJM but he looks off the pace today. His passing has been really sloppy.

Needs to improve second half big time.

Has Lamptey actually done anything though? We've given him a lot of space but I can't think of anything he's done as a threat, maybe one decent pass into Welbeck.

Really? He's been one of the best players on the pitch. Everything they've done has gone through him.

I reckon Brighton could crumble this half.

I'd take McGinn off and put Hourihane on.

Well if Dean doesn't , then I don't know what has to happen for Conor to get a go.

Efan Ekoku on my commentary. A boring, mumbling twat. Jesus Christ.

Come on Villa. Playing some nice stuff.

And talking absolute shite.

True. Who on earth decided he was the right man for co commentator? Garbage.

What has he done with the space and time he's had though, that's what I'm getting at. Right now he's a lot like many great young players in this country, he's got bags of pace and runs with the ball well but hispassing, crossing and shooting isn't good enough to make the most of it.
