I thought Trez had a great game too. He works so hard.

Seems like we play well when Barkley plays well. He was awesome tonight. Great telepathy with Grealish, it's like they're from the same womb.

His work rate since lockdown 1 has been brilliant. Wonder if he’s had a kick up the arse.

El Ghazi take note

It really is nice to be competitive; it makes the Leeds and Southampton games that much more infuriating (though, to be fair, Southampton are a solid team), but it is nice to go into a game feeling like a win is not an impossibility. Well done tonight!

Barkley, Grealish and Targett link up very well together. We just need to play against teams that allow us a bit of space between them. Southampton didn’t and we struggled. Great team play tonight

McGinn sitting 15 yards deeper is the difference - gives us more protection of the back 4 and as has been said already that performance, in some ways, was better than the Liverpool one.

Apparently a change made at HT vs Southampton where he switched positions with Barkley.

How annoying that we can’t beat the small teams like Leeds.

As brilliant as tonight was, it's exactly what I wanted to see change this season - the mentality against the top six. I never want to see us line up hoping to grab a point and losing all the same. Grealish seems to have adjusted his mindset now he's at international level, almost wanting to revel in the fact he's elite, and this is having a huge effect on the squad. Him and Barkley are having a whale of a time.

I'll be honest despite our first four results I feared that the last two home games would knock us back and we'd find Arsenal really tough. Wow, how wrong can you be!

What a sensational effort from the entire team. As has been said in many ways a more impressive performance than Liverpool.

Just a fantastic night. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant.
