Tyrone, you really are NOT as good as you think you are.  Stop fucking about, we've conceded 7 in the last two games in case you hadn't noticed.

Not to keep picking on Watkins, but he's given it away three times in succession to stop some good build up.

Five minutes to disallow that goal is ridiculous.  I understand VAR officials taking time for something that is a matter of fact, offside, a ball over the line etc.  But "interfering" is a judgement call, and if it's taking you that long to decide whether it is or isn't, then it's not OBVIOUSLY interfering and the goal should stand.

You know, if it takes over 4 minutes to decide if it's not a goal, it should probably be given

It's not all that long ago that that would've been instantly ruled out for exactly the reason it was anyway. The VAR was trying to award the goal there, not chalk it off. In the end, giving it would've meant ignoring a big aspect of the law.

The thing with VAR is, and this isn’t just Villa, they look like they’ve underpinned the system with the aim of disallowing goals rather than looking to validate the original decision. That’s why you get decisions like today’s or the Leeds disallowed goal yesterday.

Two observations:

Disallowed goal aside, McGinn is playing abysmally.

With his dyed hair and black kit, Douglas Luiz looks like a honey badger.

Generally when we attempt a pass over 10 yards, we seem to be giving it away
