Barkley isn't fit, seems stupid leaving him on in a game that's gone.

Crazy, how many times do you see a newly promoted side shake the tree against all odds, last season it was Sheff Utd, blah blah the season before, you would think we would know how to deal with this enthusiasm.

Not sure why we've not made a tactical change.

Worse game I have seen Jack have for 3 years.
I don’t think we ever looked like we had any belief we could win tonight.
I hope to god they didn’t fall into the trap of thinking Leeds always tire, because that just one of those idle fallacies.

This is the Villa we saw last season. Let teams attack, wave after wave and end up conceding. You cannot keep playing this way and not expect what has happened tonight to happen. We brought this on ourselves. As great as Liverpool was this was in equal measure horrendous

Exactly this. Counter attack has served us well this season, we've taken practically all our chances and outworked teams but we need to learn how to keep hold of the ball too.

Last weekend was pretty much 50-50% possesion.

We're just not very good against teams who can manically press us in midfield. Southampton will be like this next weekend and they also have a striker who can finish a chance so that's a big test now with this setback.

They've just worked so much harder than us all over the pitch.  I want to say they've been lucky, and there has been an element of luck about a couple of the goals, but you can't say they don't deserve to be in the lead - unfortunately.

Back to earth with a massive fucking bump.

Yeah lack of tactical response is very disappointing tonight.
