Great to get the win. Think we edged it but draw would have been about right. Don't think Barkley did a lot but great finish. Was a bit frustrated with Jack a couple of times holding on to the ball too long but honestly wouldn't swap him for anyone in the league, simply outstanding. Confidence must be sky high. Onwards. There’s a lovely balance to our side at the moment. We have a back 5 that can dig in and stifle teams including a reassuring presence in sticks. Plus a midfield that can all cover ground and tackle when needed.

But they can all hurt teams going forward.

Dean Smith has done an incredible job in 2 years and deserves every bit of credit coming his way. I thought Richards and Murphy were about as gracious as they are ever going to be about Villa.   Fofana was good, lots of players out, Choudhry at fault for the goal, although Chelsea's Barkley doing well at Villa.  Who cares what they think?  Twankers.

First half was awful though, second half was better and obviously we love it because of the result, but a neutral watching that game would have that most of it was a bit crap. And that's what we'd be saying in 'other games' if it had been Everton v Leicester.
