We finished 2nd and set the record for most goals in a season. Pongo scored 10 in those 4 games.

In 1999, we were top of the league in January. I was living in the U.S. and watched the home game against Everton on TV, which we won 3-0.

There followed 11 games without a win, including 8 losses. We used to refer to this phenomenon as our mid-season malaise.

Yes, both did great fouls at the point of transition. I rate both players highly.

Brilliant win, I thought the ref was poor tonight but credit to him for allowing Villa to play on for the goal when I think it was Targett who was fouled.

As is usual in these cases though, the ref never goes back and gives a yellow card to the player.
