For the neutral it probably wasn’t a great game (not that any neutral in their right mind would pay £15). For me it was a top class performance against a very good Leicester side. The defence looks solid, I can’t remember any occasions Leicester got in behind us and Martinez oozes confidence.
In midfield, McGinn is back to his best, man of the match for me, love the use of arse to turn players. Luiz unfussy, Trez ran and tackled and that can’t be underestimated, Grealish sublime at times, Barklay was quiet first half, but he looks so good in possession and no one in a villa shirt scores that goal last season. Tough night for Watkins against a solid Leicester defence, but he continued to be a nuisance to them and didn’t let them settle at all.

We look like a proper team.

I actually think the ref was good. Considering it was a niggly game he did well to avoid a silly second yellow and he let a lot go that he could have blown up for, especially in the second half where both sides were getting stuck in.

A different sort of win in a very tight game . We have the look of a very professional  outfit  this season.

Jack was unreal at times, the things he was doing in tight situations were ridiculous. I will say at times frustrating that he couldn't get the pass away or pick a better option but over all he is a gem of a player.

Nobody else in the League has anything like him, the fact Southgate cant fit him in that England team is an embarrasmentbto Southgate.

A word of praise for SJM’s arse in the build up to the goal. Lovely quick turn away from the defender and sets up Barkley with room to shoot.
The arse is well and truly back.

I thought it was ridiculous the amount of fouls he let their right back have on Jack. The one he finally got a yellow for arguably wasn't a foul at all. Then again Luiz maybe somewhat fortunate to avoid a second yellow..

I never listen to 606, it's on now though and who is this traitor 'Villa fan' on, saying we should've gone down because of the Sheffield United game and that Jack dives? Fuck that.

At a guess, he's a 'Villa fan' who has never worn claret and blue!

Probably the same Knuckledragger who did the same on Talksport a couple of weeks back.
