Barkley is ace. He allows jack to be at his best and does the job. By our best signing.

Barkley just said he hasn’t trained all week and was 50/50 for tonight.

I vividly remember the trudge back to the car in March contemplating the imminent lockdown, soaking wet after an abject preformance. I was one of many thinking that Smith was on his way out.

Tonight that was chalk and cheese in comparison. I would've been happy with a draw as the performance was so organised  and such a marked improvement from 7 months ago. To get the late win was amazing and not undeserved. Jack was unplayable at times.

I loved that after we scored we kept control of the game.
Yes, I know it was only a couple of minutes, but it looked wonderful
Thought Traore was very good in the last 3 mins.

Considering the last PL game before lockdown was a demoralising defeat against Leicester where we looked dead and buried, just look at us now! I’m not getting carried away but Villa are back!

Brilliant win, I thought the ref was poor tonight but credit to him for allowing Villa to play on for the goal when I think it was Targett who was fouled.

I actually am starting to enjoy these late Sunday night football

I remember someone saying a season or two ago that if we played all night games, we'd be top of the league ...

The team seem to enjoy playing together and the team spirit seems excellent
We are playing with confidence
We have a very good goalkeeper
We have two very good centre halves
We have a very good holding midfielder
We have four midfielders who can cause the opposition problems
We have a very good striker

Nice of Deano to mention Chris Nicholl in his post match interview

A word of praise for SJM’s arse in the build up to the goal. Lovely quick turn away from the defender and sets up Barkley with room to shoot.
