Looking forward to watching Aston Villa 4-5 Liverpool on Premier League's greatest games in 10 years time.

Haha I was just thinking this.

Fuck it though, we are definitely back.

Oh, and Watkins is going to play for England at some point. No doubt about that.

Fuck
In the 5-1 all the villa  goals were scored at the Witton end by half time
lets put some in the Holte

The 5 goals were at the Witton end - and Liverpool were European Champs at the time.

So this is not the best half some of us old gits have seen against them.

Second hald Emlyn Hughes played like a mad man to stop us scoring again.

Agreed supertom, Jack has been simply amazing today. His jink and pass to set up Barkley's first chance was like Figo at his peak.

For once he's playing a disciplined role. Joyous to watch.

Best English footballer for a generation.  He'll enjoy looking at the table tomorrow and seeing where Man U are.

Hope we don’t sit back now as still look a bit iffy defensively. They seem to be trying to target Matty Cash tonight. Come on you lions!!

You know a match thread is going well when Targett hasn't been slagged off once!

Minamino on for Kieta for them.

But it’s that lovely bit where we know we’ll throw it away but we haven’t yet

This gets my vote for Most Villa Post of 2020.

Minnie Mouse on for Katy for them.

I'm not greedy, i'll settle for us only scoring 3 more second half.

Exactly. I remember the 4-4 with Leicester. I was so angry when I walked out, I smashed the metal door on the way out of Villa Park. The door won.

Don’t concede in the first ten minutes now, don’t give them a sniff.

That and the 4-4 with Spuds when Marlon Fucking Harewood chucked it all away. Will take a couple of extra goals second half so I can relax perhaps 1%.

The Happy Birthday game?

That’s the only downside for me in that half. Cash is getting turned inside out, looks Freddie esque in his loose defending

All over the place....need Trez a lot more disciplined in the second half to give him support. Luiz has been dreadful too. I'm actually still quite worried.

Watkins gives us huge threat on the counter. Jack has been different class....getting better and better.

He used to be a decent pundit but way past his sell by date now.

Not sure I'd say that to his face though!
