That was a first half demolition job not seen since the late 1970's.
We need to see it through the first 15 of the second half are crucial we must fight hard not to conceed

Is Carra reporting for Merseyside radio? So biased

He can't hide his disappointment, but neither could I in his position. I think he was fair enough on our third goal.

What was supposedly wrong with our 3rd?

Offside, I think.

McGinn wasn't, and it hit van Dyk on the way in. Perfectly fine.

Typical that as we embark on European domination that we can go and see it.

That’s the only downside for me in that half. Cash is getting turned inside out, looks Freddie esque in his loose defending

I don't know know where to begin with that.  Disappointed it's only 4 to be honest.  Best half of football in what, 3 decades?

I think that might be the best half of football I've ever seen from us, we wouldn't be flattered if we'd got a couple more.

Bloody brilliant. Barkley playing very well, superb hattrick, Grealish his usual self, defence doing well. Great goalkeeper. Targett having a good game.

Please keep this up Villa. Feel a lot better about resting players in the cup now!

We've been starved of this sort of thing for so long now, I can't quite believe it's back.

No doubt Souness will sit there and slag off Barkley.

Dean Smith.

I love you.

Everything I ever said against you was wrong.

I don't even care if this one goes wrong, even from here - this is the kind of half we have dreamed about for absolutely years.

Fucking wonderful.

Amen, whatever happens we have served notice.

Villa are back.

I'm the same.  It's the last 10 years.  A small (but not insignificant) part if me is convinced we're going to throw it away!

Looking forward to watching Aston Villa 4-5 Liverpool on Premier League's greatest games in 10 years time.

If we can keep a clean sheet for the second half and score 2 I will retire from watching football and die a happy man remembering the day Salford got tonked by the same score as we beat the scousers. But as it’s Villa we will probably lose 4-5 and I will be condemned to watching us for another 30 years.
But seriously, that’s one of the best halves I’ve seen us play in the last two decades.

Bollocks , wrong thread , but who cares ? Loving it  :)
