Surprised their not playing Norwood, I rate him. If he's available, he might be a shrewd move to bring him in.

That bench is incredible poor.

I think it's safe to say Guilbert and Samatta are both off.

That's the bench for seeing out a 3-0 lead. It's unlikely to turn a game around.

Is Bert eligible to play yet or are their registration/work-permit matters still to deal with ?

Didn't get international clearance on time.

If we are going into our first match with Hourihane in the starting 11 and with Taylor and El Ghazi amongst the subs then that is a measure of how much strengthening is left to do I fear.

I never even noticed his name in the line-up.

No Guilbert anywhere to be seen. I think binning him will be a mistake.
Agreed.

I've only heard of one of the Sheffield United players, so I'm therefore upgrading my prediction to 6-0 to us.

Amazed that they dropped Norwood. Berge is more robust. Expect a hard old game with him and Lundstram in their mid midfield.

Bench reflects how far we still have to go to compete in the top half of the table - one or two injuries and we are drafting in Championship quality players. AEG and Davis are the only two attacking threats off the bench - very worrying. Traore obviously is an upgrade but boy, we need way more.

Strong first 11 so hopefully it'll click and they will overcome a disciplined SU.

Surely you've heard of both Robert Fleck and Eddie McGoldrick?

Their team looks very, very beatable on paper. There again I suppose it did last season and they finished a long way above us.

Roberta Flack and John McCririck is the best I can do, sorry.

I'm really rather nervous ahead of this game: I think, because it's so important that we start well.

The curious case of Guilbert Grape. I just don't get it. He was one of the real bright spots in the run in. It would be a real shame if he left the club.

Ramsey not an option on the bench so he may be going out on loan for regular games.

Good spot: again, a missed opportunity for us / him, perhaps.
If he is loaned out again, I hope that they choose the host-club carefully for his experience to develop.
