if I’d of missed a sitter like that when I was playing I’d have walked straight of the pitch in embarrassment

Ollie 3 shots in target is £43 cash out.

He’s on 2.

I think there was a bobble just before Watson connected.

Elementary.

Looking forward to the Ollie and Jack show this season. Watkins is gonna score a shit tonne of goals for us - natural goal scorer 👍🏼

Jesus Taylor... that's a lucky assist
Give him a break - he still had to put the ball in the right place.

My thoughts exactly. Taylor can’t win

Started slowly, but we've dominated the last half an hour and started to create chances. Quality of ball from El Ghazi (a corner apart) and Elmo has been poor mind.

Not sure what Lansbury does, but Ramsey is look promising. Nkamba is good in the tackle but poor in distribution.

Bad luck Ollie leaning back there, but he seems to have a knack of finding space in the box.

poor start and hopefully this fixture is being used to keep the fitness up of players we want to move on.

Grealish , very good.
Watkins, Good, but needs to put a chance like the one off the Bar away
Taylor, excellent
Nakamba, great work rate

Everyone else , average or poor

Lansbury, El Ghazi and Taylor are dreadful.

Jesus what a miss!

Yep. Leaning back. Should have scored. But he’s getting in great positions

It's like nobody expects Jack to give them the ball once he's in the box. Ollie caught off guard, just like Taylor ("what the ... I have ball??") for our equaliser.

I'm struggling to work out what Dean Smith's thinking is regarding the fringe players he has out.  With the exception of Ramsey, who is doing fine, he knows exactly what the others bring or don't bring to the team.  It's the first game of the season and surely he should be working on match fitness for his preferred line-up and not giving opportunities to players who, for the most part won't get a look in.
