Well that's it, I'm  now sold on following the Villa women. Iwabuchi - what a name, what a fcuking player!

Surprised you eschewed the 'Mana from heaven' opportunity. :)

She scored and assisted brilliantly in the last minute a couple of weeks ago on her debut in the snow against Reading to rescue a draw and that goal yesterday was top-drawer. How have we managed to sign her ahead of the elite clubs at this level?

I wish we had a superstar Asian player in the men's team. Maybe Son will get disillusioned at Spurs when we finish the season ahead of them.

How quickly people forget Neil Taylor! ;)

No Villa players named by Hege Riise, England's interim manager, in her first squad, I expect that is no surprise.

Oh...erm, yeah. And he was even in the news yesterday speaking about how to get more Asian kids into football.

We have played better than results suggest. There are 3 groups in this league, the top teams, not a chance of being them at the moment, the relatively safes, were not too far from them, and relegations. We're on the cusp of leaving them. We should stay up this year and if we do we can push on. Bristol will go down. Then next season whoever comes up plus SHA should be favourites. I say SHA as they haven't got a full squad, they are playing with fewer subs than are allowed. They can't afford them.

Subsequent Tweets say that the game was postponed, and that it has kicked off...

Frozen pitch.
Seems like a very late call though.

Don't really mind the late decision in this case. I expect they tried to give it every chance, and thought there was no rush to make a decision like there would be if you had a crowd, especially with neither team having to travel far. Just a shame Villa Tweeted that the game had kicked off leaving me swearing at the FA Player stream for not working! 😀

Strange.  I thought games between Villa and Blose always kicked off.

I'll be disappointed if they didn't at least have a snowball fight.

Villa postponed again, against Arsenal this time. Bristol City lose 5-0 at home to Chelsea.

Marcus Bignot joining as interim mananger.
I read an article about Guiseley and one of their fans called him the non-league Pep.
