Surprised a few people are saying the Watford stint was a failure. They took a side that was bottom on 9 points up to 17th when they left. You could argue they did a decent job.

They took something like 9 or 10 points more than us over the same period, they had done an incredibly good job to get Watford close to the line. Then got sacked inexplicably for Mullins. Very very odd, good for us though.

Good appointment and I am pleased that Dean has more people around him.  Shakespeare is a winner and will have other contacts to draw upon too.  I hope this might win us a couple of Watford players if we bid for them.  Perhaps this means that Dean has taken a step towards the full Manager role and will oversee all operations, including Johan Lange's work?   Can we get on with signing players now please?

He worked with Richard O’Kelly at the Olbyun many moons ago. I didn’t have too much contact with him but he seemed a decent bloke and fairly switched on. The Youth Team lads seemed to like him. He was universally known as ‘ Shakey ‘ .  Long time ago though
