Utterly shit players and a clueless management team clearly are not making for a winning combination

Really mad that the management team weren't fired when the football was suspended at least.

Are you serious???

So what nonsense is Dean going to come out with afterwards?

Same as Spurs. Arsenal. Liverpool. Man. City. "These games won't define whether we stay up or not."

Oh yes they will Dean.

This is a barely competent Championship side.

Does this team deserve to be in this division?

Of course it does. Whether it's good enough to stay in it is a different matter.

I said at Christmas, results are what mattered and even though we’ve had 3 months off, it’s Groundhog Day. He’s a top bloke but he is league one level at best. Maybe championship. He earned a chance in prem due to the playoffs success. However keeping him has damned us.

We are McGinn and Grealish United. If they aren't brilliant, we lose. Opposition know that if you stop them, you stop Villa.

Any chance we could try to exert even a tiny amount of pressure for the last 6 minutes?  We are losing, and still in the bottom three, in case the manager and players had forgotten.

It's amazing that we managed to spend well over a hundred million to buy precisely zero players that frighten the opposition. Sure I saw the Chelsea full back light a cigarette when he saw Trezeguet was coming on.

The reality is that £100m wassn't enough. Spending three times that is what is needed to stay up and then hope FFP won't fuck you.

Also having a manager that doesn't insist on one up front constantly, backed up by a weak midfield that offers no cover to a poor defence.

Plenty of teams have stayed up spending less
Sheff Utd this season

not how much you spend it what you spend it on

While the scoreline isn't massively surprising the 'performance' has been very disappointing.

Bugger all zip in both game so far, ignoring the results. We should have come flying out of the traps and at least had a bloody go.

At least we're all over them and they are clinging on as we throw the kitchen sink at them...

DS having these conferences calls with Terrry and O'Kelly really wind me up aswell. Shows a lack of confidence from him at this level imo.

You really don't need a five minute talk about whether you should put a striker or attacking midfielder should come on in a game you're losing.

Jota on for McGinn.
