We need to take advantage of a piss poor decision going our way for once.

Not the disaster i was half-expecting, but Sheffield don't look too good either so could really go either way in the 2nd

Jamie Redknapp said it was "A spiteful ball in" for the goal that wasn't given. Maybe this is the first time a ref has disallowed a goal because it was "Spiteful".

Exactly.  We don't want to be dropped on nought and fail to capitalise.

Any further back and Nyland would have been in the ticket office.

I don’t recall Brentford having a constantly launch it from the back tactic yet we keep on employing it. One of my hopes coming back into this is we stop doing that. We do and it lose the ball constantly.

I thought we played quite well on the whole although the HT whistle came at the right time for us. How that wasn’t a goal I don’t know but I thought the officiating was garbage for the whole half really. Hopefully a bit more quality in the final third in the second half will see us over the line. Not sure what to make of that to be honest.  Looked reasonably solid, though played ourselves into trouble a couple of times. In a funny way, I think the slower pace and reduced physicality suits us a bit, especially players like Douglas.

Davis has caused them problems, but the key players in McGinn and Grealish haven't really been in the game too much.

Watching Hause and Konsa I get nervous when they don’t hoof it.

Kortney Hause playing on the right side of defence is an accident waiting to happen.

Cant understand that selection at all, has anyone any idea what possible rationale Smith could have used on this?

He gave away that stupid free kick in the lead up to the goal that wasnt

Elmo on bench, no sign of Guilbert or Engels?

Nyland showed the presence of a ghost for that goal

Might be no harm bringing Nakamba in for McGinn soon enough, he looks miles off the pace

Bright in the first ten/fifteen minutes. Faded since then.

Understandable, but the game does seem to be lacking in pace and intensity. Nearly all the chances coming from set pieces.
