I suspect there's a few on here like me. When I watched this on TV aged 12 (regular match goer but the trouble in Anderlecht stopped my dad taking me to the final) I was obviously over the moon, but I didn't realise , as a kid, the enormity of what I wa witnessing. It was just Villa winning in Europe, it's what we did. I never had any doubt but we would win, unlike my dad ! That was the amazing thing about growing up with Villa at that time, and I feel so privileged to have done so. I also remember when that feeling of Villa invincible was ripped out of me.....it was the following year, when Paolo Rossi put Juve ahead at VP after a few minutes. That wasn't how things were meant to be !
