No changes from either side and we're off.

Where is Elmo supposed to be playing?  He looks to me more in the position of a striker than someone deployed to provide cover on the wings, where he is most needed.

I remember someone (Monty perhaps) says a few years ago that we make so many terrific last-ditch blocks because our basic defending is terrible and I think that also applies to this team

It's so true.  Engels fucked up a header and then had to throw his body in the way.  It looks like great defending but, deal with it properly in the first place!!  Happens way too often.

I know we're not allowed to judge Wesley on half a season but Samatta already looks a better player after a handful of games.

All considered, I think we've done okay. Certainly a big step up in effort, considering how poor we've been and up against a very well oiled team, we've held our own. Just. Great ball in for goal and boy what a header.

Fair play to Man City players for not kicking Jack’s legs from under him like most oppositions this season.

Look I know we are playing Citeh but surely we can stop passing it straight back all the time.  Ball retention is woeful.

Standing off them way to much, must press them better don't give Man City to much time on the ball.

I’m assuming he wants to be still in it after 70 and go for it.

Standing off against any PL opponent is a mistake let alone the very best. It's killed us all season and we cannot let them dictate how this half goes hoping to hit them on the break.
