Wembley - the expensive way
« on: January 31, 2020, 11:27:51 PM »
I've got a feeling it's going to end badly, so I fancy doing it in a bit of style.

I managed to get hold of a Club Wembley Gold ticket for the Liverpool FAC SF, and it was marvellous - that was through a friend's work, though, and not going to happen this time.

Anyone got any pointers to reliable vendors of spendy tickets / box hire / similar frivolousness?

There are a number of agencies advertising tickets for the final, I’ve no idea which, if any, are trustworthy, in the Man City end £150 upwards get’s you the promise of one, in the Villa end almost double that does, can anyone recommend a site they have used previously to get in this way please ?
we need a back up plan in case of defeat in the claret member dash ..

If I buy a ticket using my advantage as a season ticket holder would I be able to give it to my grandson?

Tickets are sold as non transferable but youd be mightily unlucky to get pulled for it .

Thanks for that.

I’m a pensioner and my ticket price reflects that. Can I ask for a full price ticket (for obvious reasons)?

I’m a pensioner too but my selected seat defaulted to full price. I changed it using the pull down menu. So yes I reckon you can but it might appear odd if anyone bothers to look.

Wouldn’t mind doing the slightly posher experience tbh but £500 each is a bit steep. If anyone has any leads 👍

It's nuts. However, anyone who thinks we aren't a big club needs to bear this sort of thing in mind. There's clearly a big demand that most other clubs don't have.

Most of the boxes are sold on a season long basis by Wembley.  For the Play Off final, lots of box holders were happy to pass them on, but aren't doing so for the big cup finals.

I know somebody who has in the past been able to help get Wembley tickets for mates, usually in that section behind the dugouts that is empty for the first 10 minutes of each half.

I got hold of them the morning after our semi final to put in a request prior to Man City fans jumping in, as they played 24 hours later. I was told immediately that they had a "vastly" reduced allocation for the final. Apparently the number of tickets handed to sponsors for the league cup final is much, much higher than the play offs.

I was out with a mate last night who has a contact who has been a tout for 20 years, but usually selling food and drink packages rather than tickets only. He said our demand is higher than Man City as they have been to Wembley so frequently in the past decade. Reseller (ie touts) pricing reflects this, with Villa fans being charged more.

We’ve been there fairly frequently ourselves.
