Deano same sort of manager as Tony Mowbray. All pretty stuff but team is utterly lightweight. No fight in this lot at all though, I don't understand it.

Absolutely bereft of any confidence whatsoever which is killing us.
Hause is a complete liability. He’s constantly behind the other two and then is useless on the ball.

Smith has to go tactical loser.  Drinkwater been shit last two games and plays him again. 5 at the back again at home. No chances created either.

Fucking useless          so what team would you have put out tonight ? FFS

Small Heaths player of the season award will definitely be going to Troy Fucking Deeney. We are screwed aren't we? Le Tissier said our play in final third is woeful. This wasnt supposed to be like this, not this team, not this manager. I can't believe how bad it's been.

It's always going to be hard to get a result when Hause, Targett, Drinkwater, and El Ghazi are in your starting lineup. They just aren't good enough. Neither is Nakamba really, but he seems to be doing ok tonight.

Thought we looked quite comfortable on the ball most of the half, without creating anything. Not much between us, but what a difference a striker makes. Need more bodies hitting the box second half, we've got in some decent areas for crossing, with no options. Pff, come on Villa, big second half needed.

To be fair I thought we were doing ok albeit strikerless, but that cock up has killed us. Big decisions now Deano

I can think of one good decision.

No physicality in midfield to protect the back three, a lack of presence up front.  Only Mings and Grealish any good.  The recruitment has been woeful and the owners need to reflect on that, because it's going to cost them big time.  Arguably the biggest second half of football coming up in our recent history.  Boy, we need a turnaround.

Our lack of quality in the final third is shocking, and defending for the goal was non-existent (a free header inside the six-yard box?? Jesus), but on the bright side, we've moved the ball around better than last time out.  Nakamba's looked better, as has Drinkwater (a couple of minor aberrations apart).

I worry how we're going to break them down, as it seems the only way that front three will score is if we're running at them - but if they sit and defend I don't see how we'll do it short of a worldy from outside the box.  Maybe a set piece?

I'm not sure what Smith can do.  There's no striker to bring on.  Who's responsible for the fact that we have no strikers is anyone's guess but we've needed one for months.  It's scarcely believable that a club of our stature is in this position.

Do we ever come back to win games? Nope. We just lack the substance to do anything.

Get Luiz on, play him further up the pitch, bring Vassilev on, at least have someone with a bit of movement about them playing where you'd expect a striker to be playing.

I am so sick of this shit, week after week it's the fucking same.

We never look like winning. Does anyone really think we're getting anything out of this?

It'll be the same XI who come out after the break and we'll waste another 20 minutes doing the same fruitless, doesn't-fucking-work thing.
