Are we sure ours is the Luiz Pep Guardiola wanted so much?

I really want him to do well but except those brilliant long range goals, it hasn’t really happened for him.

He's a bit naive at times but you must surely see the quality on the ball and in making space for himself. If he can get a bit more streetwise he'll be a steal for what he cost.

He looks like he is struggling with the speed of the game.

Don’t get me wrong, he’s far from our worst player, but has been disappointing thus far.

That's kinda what I mean by naive, he can get a little bit overrun at times but I think he's well worth persevering with. I reckon he'll be one of our best players in a year or 2 so long as he can adapt.

I'm out for me tea, sacrificed telly for nice food. Been 'watching' on a betting app. It shows player in possesion, movement, that kind of thing. A few observations...
Fuck me, Leicester are boring. Pass in your own half much?
We grew into the game. Early on, it looked like we couldn't string more than 2 passes together. But it got much, much better.
The goal. Pass, pass, pass, GOAL. The last player mentioned in the build up was Taylor! Had to have a quick goosey on here to check it wasn't really him!
Are they keeping Guilbert quiet? He's barely had a touch in their half, from what I've seen.

Anyway, fookin gerrin!!!

Is it me, or are these commentators sounding very critical and biased against us?

What would be really good is if Trezeguet was a footballer.
Other than carrying him, the others have battled well.

We are good value for this quarter time lead.

Rode our luck initially, but after the goal we've been the better team. Hopefully that wasn't our good half.

Noticed that Jack and AEG were switching positions too. I prefer Jack more in the middle and AEG on the left.

Don't think anyone's going to disagree with you there

This is the most organised I have seen the defence all season. Promising stuff

That passage of play on the far touchline when we knocked it around them and then spread it out wide was some of the best football we have played all season.

We had a bit of swagger

Well I have to say that 45 has surprised me. Keep it up Villa. Small Heath thread more obsessed with how "pathetic" our fans our for singing Liverpool and Man Utd songs. This coming from the club who scraped 7k vs Blackburn the other day.

Not being funny, but we are playing the semi final of a major cup competition and you're on a Small Heath site?

I reckon Trez will turn his defender in the second half and score.

Improved as half went on. Working harder anyway, don't think he shows enough courage to get on the ball at times. Nakamba has settled a bit too.

Leicester will be changing formation at the break. Rodgers trying to be too clever with three but given we aren't playing with any traditional forward they are wasting a player. I'd expect Ihenacho to come in and maybe Albrighton too.

Like our shape. They are struggling to get in around us at the moment. Nothing out wide from them and their only chances are from our mistakes (Nakamba and Konsa).

I feel Nyland has earned his shirt and I think the club should give him a run at no 1 rather than bringing in another keeper
