I really want him to do well but except those brilliant long range goals, it hasn’t really happened for him.

I think there's a player there but he definitely has work to do on his all-round game. His performances are very patchy.

He's a bit naive at times but you must surely see the quality on the ball and in making space for himself. If he can get a bit more streetwise he'll be a steal for what he cost.
