Massive  massive massive 3 points.  Well done dean on the formation.    We now really need to buy another striker. Lets go get our target quickly.

Huge win.
Big Tyrone controlled our back line superbly, so good to see him back.
We showed more passion and desire today across the team as well.
Onwards and upwards.

No better way to start the New Year with Villa getting 3 points, well done DS on the team selection and getting a performance from the players.

Praise the Lord ! That last 20 minutes seemed to go on forever. First half we were top drawer. Second half was far from pretty but we showed the grit and determination that was so lacking on Saturday.

At last! Hope the injuries aren't too bad, though.

Shows how much we've missed Tyrone.

Happy New Year, everyone!

BTW Fcuk VAR.

Can’t see Luis playing for Man City again. He played well but that attempted easy lob was unbelievably bad and could have cost us. And, for those asking for Kodja instead of Wes. I think we have seen why that isn’t an option.
Mings was immense as were all the defence.

Thank fuck. That last 10 minutes!

Really good to see everyone chasing everything playing the way we saw last season. Pleased with the formation change.

Wes and Heaton could be a big loss.

That's a huge result. Hopefully Dean sticks with that formation, at least in away games.

Massive 3 points, wow. Well done to all. We are fighting hard.

But why the f**k are we always so cursed by injuries? And always our most important players?

It may have come at a cost but that's three massive points, a much better display and Smith showing some flexibility.  Burnley are so shite it's untrue.

Small Heath losing today would just cap it all off. Fuck VAR but I love football again today.

Change of system worked well, stopped us getting overrun in midfield. But more than a change of system I think the most noticeable thing was a change of attitude. Much better. Under the cosh second half and did well to see the game out. Desperately needed 3 points
