Looks awful

Grealish out wide again, nakamba and Luiz in the centre, really? What planet is DS and the coaching team on

3 at the back will stop us being exposed behind the full backs.

2 DMs give Jack licence to get forward to the areas we want him to be in.

Wing backs giving width, especially Freddy.

Trezeguet playing off Wes.

This is pretty much exactly what we wanted. I love it. F**k the F***ers now Villa !

Drinkwater on the bench for them. Would seem to suggest that his acquisition isn't a done deal.

I like the 5 man defence, the first stage in our recovery has to be by becoming more difficult to beat.

I really don't like five at the back. Prove me wrong, Villa.

Of course, it could be that Smith is just trolling all the five at the back fans, and we are just playing Neil Taylor on the wing...

I guess we won't see till kick off but I don't see that lineup as Grealish out wide, I see him as attacking from a midfield 3 with 2 up front, the width from the wing backs.

Incidentally, apart from Trez instead of Kodjia its the side and formation Ads posted on the first post of the prematch thread isn't it?

Looking forward to seeing Taylor as a marauding wing back.😂

When did they put Ads in charge of printing up the official team sheet?

I'm sure Hourihane has played the odd game for Ireland as a wing back under Mick McCarthy. Doesn't offer anything defensively so about as good as Neil there but in the final third he would be a much better option.

Just exactly how bad does Wesley have to play then before he's out the team?

My god just tell him he needs a rest or something if need be as it appears dropping him has been written in his contract as not allowed!

Disappointed to see Wesley out there again but at least he's changed it.

Hmm. Back five, attacking full-backs to provide the width and attacking penatration = Neil Taylor.

Well, okay then.

There's realistically nobody else. This is the formation most have been asking for; let's see if we're the football experts we think we are.

Well it’s a tactical change which we wanted. I’m fine with Taylor, he hasn’t done much wrong when called on this season.

Change in system is good to see. Fingers crossed it brings dividends.
