Agree this is not the time for weeks of contemplation and speculation.

Sure, can't argue with a word written here. Gutting that it has come to this but it has so....

I think the comment about Smith being gripped in the latter stages of inertia is spot on, you only have to look at his face yesterday to see that he was transfixed with panic, point is if we can see that imagine the drift the players are getting just a few short yards away.

Another fine read and there does need to be some clarity here with a decision either way.
Back the guy or sack the guy but make a decision.

Smith is picking out questionable decisions against us, but he needs to look at the bigger picture; the outlook is dire with so many defeats lately. Villa look devoid of ideas and lacking any desire to fight in these games. I think defeat at Burnley on Wednesday will signal the end for DS.

Surely if he's not been sacked the decision is pretty clear?

Do you really expect the vote of confidence?

And to be fair, they might have decided to back him but can’t do yet, what with it still being December and that.

It's a fucking difficult situation whichever way you look at it.

I think a lot of us expected the last 3 to be fairly straightforward, up until their form changed in the short period before playing us.

I'd like it to work, I think it could work but we need better players and the manager to have a wank and clear his head.

Brilliant solution!
