Never called for a manager to be sacked but he's got to be gone tonight. They're his players & playing his tactics.

Oh how we scoffed when people were saying that we'd "do a Fulham".
Trolling our own fans is not really needed right now.

I'm not trolling our fans.  In those optimistic days of summer I was repeatedly pissed off with the supporters of other teams who trotted out that line every time we made a signing.
But you felt the need to bring that up right now when we're all hurting watching our team get destroyed by feckin Watford?

Yeah, because I'm the only one on this match thread whose been negative and raised the spectre of relegation.

I would not mind betting that every one of those Villa players will be out on the piss tonight.

Think they sank a few at half time.

I know Luiz was out on the piss after the Southampton shambles.

Truly disgraceful performance.

Mistake playing grealish on the left don’t understand it. Looking likely now. The only hope, and it’s not much hope, is like Wigan last January, this is the low point of season

The players are not good enough, but what really worries me is the complete lack of spirit and effort.

Yes I mean Chris Wilder has made Enda Stevens capable at Premier League level.

I’ve been saying the same. This group of players should have won games vs Spurs, Arsenal, even Liverpool. We matched them until the very end, and had Smith been better tactically we would have. Here’s what then happened. Teams scouted us and adapted to what we were good at. Our manager didn’t adapt at all and kept with the same system. So teams knew how we would play, how to stop our best players. Our manager kept playing Wesley even when it clearly wasn’t working. He shunts our very best player on to the left wing. We are predictable. Predictable leads to predictable results and will if he’s not fired tonight.

I care.  Is it too much to hope the players share some of our pain?

I've had to turn it off. Can't see Pearson's smug face after this, as I can't afford a new phone.

You’re right TopDeck, you have a valid reason for your comment.

I don’t thing we “scoffed” at the phrase though, but “reasoned logically”!!

He’s doing precisely what he’s getting paid to do. Our manager isn’t. He’s entitled to being smug.
