I think he needs to be sacked after this,

He won't be, but he should be.

There is not even a sign of any coaching going on, absolutely nothing.

If its not done after this it will be too late. It may be already.

We're really just shuffling the deck rather than changing the way we play.  I just can't understand why Dean is persisting with this formation.

He has to go after the game. Todays lineup sent alarm bells ringing, and that 45mins cements what everyone was thinking.

Nice bloke, but nowhere near up to this level. If we stick with him, we're going down. Simple as that.

.. we've just played the 3 worst placed teams in the league and robbed just 3 points from one of them (assuming this game goes the same as the season so far). Teams should play to their strengths. Sticking Jack out on the left for most of the season, and stubbornly refusing to drop a disfunctional forward EVER are going to be his/our downfall.

Their goal.

Jota gets the ball, passes to Elmo and then sprints off down the pitch - thereby reducing Elmo's options to either a hoof downfield, or a telegraphed - inside pass to Konsa who is immediately closed down as he then tries to hoof it himself .......

Moments later, shot from the edge of the box is pushed wide by eaton and Deeney who's strolled into the box unmarked has the choice of having a crack at the rebound himself, or crossing it to another Watford player who is unmarked 6 yds out.

How many errors by Villa were there in that passage of play?

I've rarely seen such a lack of confidence in a team.

I've seen it before, we got relegated.

I also don't care about how Wesley tries, or puts a shift in. He's paid to be the front man who should, under normal circumstances be the primary goalscorer.

If anyone else on here. "put a shift in" but failed to do their job they be gone in a heartbeat. The whole effort thing is bollocks. He's a Brazilian centre forward who doesn't score goals...us, only fucking us could do that.

Who do we get in as manager though?

Silly question - there are so many great options - with our owners, their money, the size of the club. If Everton can attract Ancelotti, you dont think we can attract similar calibre?

Jota is a central or attacking midfielder, why he's out wide makes no sense. It never works because he has no pace.

I'm expecting a change(s) at HT

If the owners are serious they will have already sounded out new managers.

Villa game plan for Wesley

Play long ball to Wesley. He tries to chest it, loses the ball, runs after player and fouls him. Repeat forever.

Why does a team that can't pass insist in passing in the most dangerous area of the pitch?

All the tempo we had in the first few months has simply evaporated. Coasting to relegation.

Luiz had ample opportunity to take down their midfielder too. Take the yellow. But the gutless prick did nothing. He was the one that ran out and left Deeney free a minute earlier too. Backbone of a snail

They are serious. They've just given Dean a brand new contract.
