If players confidence is shot, drop them and put in players who want it.  It is basic team selection.

I never imagined for second that this manager would be quite as stubborn or just lost as he has become. I thought maybe we got ourself the next Eddie Howe who has made Bournemouth; fucking Bournemouth into a legitimate PL football club. I am wrong. We are being outplayed by Norwich at Villa Park. In fairness I don't think Smith's nonsensical approach to squad rotation has been helpful for anyone's confidence tbh.
