Festive Football
« on: December 26, 2019, 12:40:05 AM »
Many of you will have sat down with family and friends and stuffed your faces over the last few days and may well continue to do so until the New Year! (I will) but there's excessive amounts of chocolate, biscuits etc knocking around the house!

I don't know what route you take but I've noticed a fair few homeless people along my walk to the ground, something I'd never seen before until last season.

So pop a spare chocolate bar in your coat pocket and hand it over on your way to the Ground. I know it's only small but just the offer alone could cheer someone up just that little bit

Merry Christmas

That's a lovely, kind thought. I'll see what I can find to take.

Yes, nice thought.  It's probably a bit off topic, but it's quite shocking that 1 in 88 people in Brummie's are homeless according to Shelter.

One of many things that puts football in perspective.

I stayed over in Brum for the weekend after the Saints game. Noticed a lot of homeless. Got chatting to a homeless guy who was waiting for the YMCA to open so that he could get a bed for the night. He needed money as it was £8 a night!  Hopefully he had a bed, hot meal and some warmth over Xmas.

That’s over 12000 people
