Just joined aswell, stats look dismal and a real disaster if we lose this as seems likely now.

As much as we moan about Mings and McGinn losing form, taking both out of the team and it looks a championship 11 in terms of mentality.

Good point.  With the transfer window coming up, do we build for relegation and to come straight back up?  Because we are unlikely to attract players who know they are going to be in the Championship next season.

Surely we've got to put one of Kodj or Trez on at half time. I'd have started Kodjia today, we've all seen in last six weeks Wesley has really struggled. Don't understand this blind faith in him because we spent 22m on him. Loads of clubs sign players for that amount and they're just squad players.

Dean Smith's job becomes in peril now if we lose this so he's only hurting himself.

Is Ghazi playing?

Don't think so, neither is Hourihane.

Edit: I was still more despondant in two of the Lambert seasons midway through. We stayed up in both so there is still plenty of time.

When you look at what we signed half of the players came in just in case the worst happened I think. Hause, Konsa, Jota, El Ghazi all more proven at championship than top level.

The problem will be of course FFP, having to sell our best players and also back to gloom and doom after six months of positivity. This all could've been avoided.

I’ll weigh in with some blind optimism and say we’re going to win 4-3

I'll have what you're having, mate!

The really sad thing about all this is the fact we are not even making a real fist of it, we play like we are excepting the inevitability of the whole situation.

The season has gone very flat after losing 4-1 to Leicester. As a club in the last decade we seem to plod along o.k then we get hammered in a match and then the whole club feels sorry for itself for the next six weeks.

Southampton have lost a match 9-0 this season and played well since. We will not achieve our great ambitions again until we have a better mentality running through the club, so frustrating.

0-3 now.

Grealish, Luiz, Targett? It says a lot when Wesley was a long way down the list of our worst. Frankly a disgusting performances, players hiding all over the pitch and Shane fucking Long tearing us a new one.

Grealish's efforts really took the piss for me. Arm waving, berating anyone and everyone, has lost possession every time in contact and piss poor effort in trying to get it back. Setting a tone and a pretty dreadful one at that.
