Blimey if you read their after match debate on RAWK they can't stand us and are desperately hoping to thrash us in the league game at Anfield as well as send us down.

Line of the night on there basically saying we ruined the night for them when we scored the fifth, because we didn’t need to. This lot set new highs in being conceited, the poor things.

What a horrible site it is. The 'travellling Kop'. Vomit inducing.

Sound like a bunch of self entitled cry babies. Fuck em.

.....& Kodjia, who hasn’t been able to get a game for months despite us having a non scoring centre forward on the pitch, isn’t supposed to celebrate scoring.

Ridiculous eh? I saw that. Miserable sods. I suppose Kodjia's celebrations weren't pre planned or macho enough/Klopp esque, or stupidly rehearsed ala Sturridge/Firmino.

Worst fans around.

What seems to be forgotten is they were thrashed 5-0 by Villa's reserves. I wish we'd have played a full-strength team and really humiliated them 10-0! All this "I'm really proud of the lads" is bollocks. The fact is the've totally disrepected and devalued a cup competition.

Dont care if it was kids we humiliated them. This was no where near our strongest team ever lets not forget that yet we win 5-0.love the media wankfest love in for them even when they get battered.

We didnt even play well yet scored 5.

Not interested in their opinions the scouse fans. We did what we had to do and were respectful towards them. I dont think we did one nasty challenge in the game because they were kids. The fact smith and JT went into their dressing room in the end as well shows our class. We dont need some mindless greasy scousers telling us how we should behave.

Sour grapes i love it 😂

I thoroughly enjoyed last night and was ecstatic at Wesley's goal. I might be wrong in the long run but I've argued a few times that Wesley hasn't been getting good service from our midfield and wingers. Yet when he does, he scores. Chuffed for him. His little feint to make room for Trezeguet was classy.

I thought Jota was a bright spot and would also love to see how he would fare as the number 10. You can see he loves to raise the tempo of the game through sharp quick passes and I don't think we have anyone else who does that.

I was a touch disappointed with Trezeguet, who I thought was quiet, and Lansbury, who I wanted to see control the midfield more. They just seemed to have so much space in midfield.

But, minor gripes really. I thought their kids did them proud, regardless of the priorities of their club. And another League Cup Semi Final for the Villa! Fantastic! I desperately want to win this again.

That's the attitude they take in the American Colonies where 'running up the score' is considered one of the worst things that a team can do.

I know that it's wrong to criticise a team that's just won 5-0 but I'm disappointed that Villa didn't make more of an effort to score at least double that.

That second half was just a pre-season friendly.

I don't think that Taylor has a second career as a physio. Their player was walking worse after Neil's 'treatment' that he was before :)

You've got to laugh at them begrudging Wes a goal with his record.

At the end of the day, if we'd gone out there to play that could have easily been 8 or 9, but we didn't want to embarrass them. If we were allowed to we'd probably have just agreed to end it at half time. We scored basically at will in the first half then held them at arm's length and didn't bother for 45 minutes. They wanted us to go even easier on them?

Thank god we didn't concede during that bloody dodgy start! Thankfully Nyland was on fire & the rest of the team managed to get their arses into gear & did the job. Very happy to see Kodja baggin' a couple & Wes finally sticking one in the onion bag at the end. Here's hoping confidence will be boosted for Saturday (albeit with a very different starting 11). Winning is a habit - but then so is losing! Here's to a good festive period & a steady ascent away from the drop zone innit. Looking forward to the cup draw & a shot at a Wem-ber-leeee final.

UTV!

It was a facile victory and we played our reserve team which would probably fare ok in the Championship.

They have some youngsters that looked technically capable, but then we were playing well within ourselves once the win was secured.

However, the game did make me think about  the apparent lack of our academy players coming through. Obviously those Liverpool academy players are also some way off their first team, but even our bench was full of experience.

Apart from O'Hare and RHM who are on loan and might have played, I can't think of anyone near ready to step up to 'reserve' level?

I have to say the coverage on the tv and radio was rubbish. The narrative was all about the kids, regardless of the result. No balance whatsoever.

Also in Germany. After we scored our first, the tone was like they were commenting on Diana's funeral.

I was most fearful about the outcome of this one, a game we couldn't really win but it actually couldn't have gone much better.
Trez, Kodja (when he wasn't sitting on his arse in the penalty area), Chester, Konsa all big positives, the others not so much but we didn't find out anything we didn't already know.
Their kids aquitted themselves well, their fans were annoying at times but the Tory chant was fun.
We're in a semi, and have negated the misery of our recent league run meaning Saturday should be more positive which we need for the Christmas run.

I'm happier than I was this time yesterday anyway.

What about them beating us 6-0 at VP in our relegation season? Was there any need to humiliate us that night? Yeah they showed a lot of class and grace that night. Self entitled pricks.

RAWK is not all Liverpool supporters by a long way, and Klopp was extremely dignified when they beat us 6-0.

I was responding to the comments that others highlighted from their fans (some) after last night. Klopp might of been extremely dignified after that result but the fans were anything but.

Professional job done last night, good to see Chester have a run out his positioning was excellent. Kodja took his goals well shame he whined so much during the game, especially after being nudged to the ground by a little kid who then whined for the next two minutes.

Nyland great with his hands not so good with his feet, happy for Wes to score shame about the a-hole sat behind me constantly slagging off all of our players, giving loads to Wes and then when he stuck it in the net refused to applaud him as he is so cack. Slagged off Dean Smith for not playing the strongest team in preparation for the weekends game!!
I know everybody is entitled to an opinion but sometimes it makes you realise the stupidity levels of some people.
