Good read thanks. Had to laugh at the last paragraph. 30 seconds before Jack won us the free kick for Conors goal i turned to my mate and said "same old Hourihane he's gone missing in a game yet again" Fast forward 5 minutes and we're 2-0 up thanks to his wand of a left foot. What do i know? I agree about their support. Very impressive for a live Monday night. Our support was strangely subdued though. Whats happened to the North Stand lot who have been great at raising the atmosphere? Last 2 home games that corner section has been quite muted even when the away fans attempt to get a rise from them? On to Manchester Sunday and i can't wait. The 11-15 train from New St won't have any problems raising an atmosphere.

Good point about Konsa. Looks pretty assured so far, great to have some competition for places.

Another good read, Dave.
On the subject of Ashley, last night I met my Geordie friend Dean, who'd driven down from the north-east. He's a life-long Newcastle supporter but, like many others, hasn't renewed his season ticket and won't go to another home game until Ashley's gone. He's not one of those deluded Newcastle supporters who think that they're everybody's favourite second team, but he's a real fan who cares passionately about his club and is heartbroken by what the owner has done to it.
