Also as a sidenote why is Chester making the bench ahead of Hause?

Hause has looked so good in the League Cup games, what if Konsa or Mings is injured early on. Chester who has been injured for 10 months being thrown on in a heated 100mph local derby. Such a strange risk.

Hause must be questioning his absence from Premier League squads himself.

Uh oh, I fear the worst.  How has Jack gone from being almost OK for the Liverpool game, to still being injured a week later?

Maybe it was the injury that kept Jack out of international setup

I'm not looking forward to seeing Matt Targett up against Traore. Far too slow and defending is questionable. For all Taylor's attacking limits, he can at least defend.

Our slight knocks always seem to mean at least a month out.

Smith mollycoddling again. These days a little graze to the shin for these candy cotton players is minimum 4 weeks out.

You don't think he would have been desperate for Jack to play today?

Come on Ezri. You've done the business once against them this season.

As for JG he's got to be back for Newcastle surely?

With those injuries we will do well to cope and if we do cope you can guarantee VAR will come along and save the dingles

I thought Smith said on Friday everyone was ok apart from Jack and Jota? Why no Hause in the squad at all? There must be something in that ?

The first XI is OK. If we have any injuries during the game though then we have problems.
