The only positive is that somehow it's only 1-0.

I’d get Lansbury on at HT, but he won’t as he’ll need that final sub in case of any further injuries.
We have to suffer El ghazi and Trez for the 2nd half, with an extra side of Neil Taylor!
This could be a really bad day at the office

Wolves are a good team though.

I imagine everyone is now realising that was actually a youth team they put out v us in the cup.

With Targett going off we can only make one attacking change in second half now so very limited options.

Would be amazed if we get a point out of us particularly as we have a few on yellows aswell. Not good.

They are good. But we have been disgracefully poor. We’ve made it so easy for them. Agree there’s no chance we’re getting anything from this game.

Is there a number below zero? That would give a rating to our attacking threat.

El Ghazi and Trezeguet have been utterly pathetic in their defensive work too.

What an awful first half.  we are playing like the players have only just met each other. Despite that, Wolves only had soft efforts on goal, apart from the free kick, which was terribly naive from Villa.   More effort required, more belief that we can score goals, more movement, better ball retention required second half.

It’s not been great.  The 3 injuries in key positions were massive losses.  And the 2 injuries in the first half mean we’ve little chance of switching style and personnel.

That being said Dean needs to be getting into them at half time.

Well totally outplayed with the only positive just being 1 down. Still a glimmer of hope.

We don’t have the squad to cope with these injuries, but doesn’t help that we’ve played very badly as well. Can’t see where a goal is going to come from if we carry on like this, and you can guarantee that Taylor will give them a few gifts in the second half

Wesley, Trez, El Ghazi have been terrible.

Everyone else poor. With Taylor on now, I'm worried this will be a 2nd half embarrassment.

Smith has to use the one sub left and shore up the midfield.
Lansbury for Al Ghazi and go 4 4 1 some hope

Can't see how we're getting back into this at all.

I don't want to be cynical, but can't help wondering how bad Targett's injury really is.

+1....I'm more than a bit cynical myself

I'd have brought Elmo in ahead of Taylor for a bit of leadership if nothing else

Targett is the new Nicky Shorey.
