Time to protest!
« on: November 10, 2019, 08:17:32 AM »
Uefa is looking at holding the 2024 Champions League final in the United States, with New York the preferred venue in a move which would see the game take place outside Europe for the first time. (Morning Consult)
From the Beebs gosip column! It's a European tournament. That's where it should stay.

I'm looking forward to it.

The novelty of winning the Champions League will have begun to have worn off by then.

I've always wanted to go New York. What better reason than to see Dean Smith lead the boys to their second European Cup!!

Just been online and booked my room in Manhattan for a full week of celebration from Monday 27 May to 2 June to celebrate properly.

New Jersey is very much not New York I assure you, not that it’ll happen.

Big enough kick-back and it'll soon be back on the table.

Tell it to the two teams called New York that play there!

I suppose that rules out Villa Park as final venue for 2024? Really wanted to see us lift the trophy for the third consecutive year right in front of the Holt End😫

Didn't we get destroyed by Fiorentina and Batistuta last time we played there?

After this years final, I'm surprised UEFA have managed to find a place even more expensive for fans to get to and stay a couple of nights.

I'd like to see Doha hosting the Final, in February. Preferably featuring our League Cup Final opponents so we get the trophy by default.
