Very well put Dave which sums up how I still feel, 'gutted'!
I've seen many highs and lows over many years but yesterday was up amongst the worst I've felt. So close to an outstanding victory...

Spot on Dave...I am still gutted. The scousers dont really need the 3 points as much as we do. We just seem to be that 2% off being in a comfortable position.

To answer Dave’s point about half time league tables, it was mentioned last week that if all PL games this season had ended at Half Time, Villa would be 3rd.

This was before the Liverpool game so we might even be top 2 now !

Enjoyed that. Especially agree with the last bit.

We have every reason to be optimistic.

I like having my view confirmed by reading Dave's articles. At the end of the first half, I said to my lad that, win, lose or draw, this was a good team and we can forget being relegated. Obviously, that completely left me in the last ten minutes and all I felt was that inexcusably exaggerated misery that only football can create (as Dave says, I was gutted.) But actually, that was still a performance to make you kind of confident we don't need to worry. There have to be three teams worse than us.

Great article but I also agree with the point about gaining moral victories instead of real ones. Through some bad luck (VAR and Refs) and some poor game management we’ve binned off at least 7 points so far this season, that’ll hurt us whether we’re looking up or down at the table come May.

We’ve all said it needs to stop but it really flipping does need to stop now.

We do seem to fall away in the second half, before they scored I noticed JM trying to get back to defend but his legs were gone and so it seems with the whole team that they do not seem able to see a game out. Of the subs that were bought on not one of them were as effective as the player they replaced and so it puzzles me that we have a player like Hause who performed well in the midweek game not getting the nod.

Nice.

I'd like to know who Jack Geealish is mind. Is it a clone, and if so is he anywhere near as good?
