Ayew does something useful on a pitch that Villa are playing on for once.

For all the promise 3 defeats from 4 is not great.

We haven't lost this one just yet.

I marked this game with an asterisk after the 43rd minute.

In bottom 3 now. Not good going into an international break.

I realise that but it looks pretty likely.

Tactically we have been out thought.

We had no tactics until 60 minutes.

Will we even try and equalise now or settle for a Lambert ''win'' at 0-1?

Ouch, just looking at our away run. Arsenal, Norwich (dire there since Lambert left), Man. City, Wolves, Chelsea and Man. United our run up to middle of December. Can't see many points there at all with us struggling to counter attack.

Going to have to stay focused at VP and grind out some wins to keep us away from bottom 3. That's what newly promoted teams usualyl do when they come up in fairness.
