What is the situation with this pub now? Is it open on match days to the general public?

They have functions for Lions Clubs in there - Normally it's full with those members.  Better off trying the Holte Suite, no restrictions there other than season ticket holders only.

It's a shithole. And it has closed down. Waste of a journey.

I'd heard the building had been demolished to make way for a McDonalds

That's a shame, they always did a nice pint of Carling in there.

Nice and pint of Carling should never be in the same sentence.

Going to be a care home, apparently.

Do any of the Barton's regulars on here come from over Four Oaks kind of way? If you do, do you use public transport to make the trip?

Bartons really closed?! Only went past it on the bus a week or two ago early evening and it seemed business as usual.

Remember all the mad threads on the old board about it, being locked out by new landlord and chucking stones at the window, Disco Stu sitting in a corner barely acknowledging anyone, fairly sure Krulak turned up there after a SHA win.

Say it ain't so.

Edit:

Business as usual according to the twatter

It's not closed - You have to keep up with the wit of the regulars.  Has me in stitches at times.
