Tyrone Mings Song
« on: August 16, 2019, 02:56:31 AM »
Does anyone else think the Tyrone Mings song is a bit unimaginative?! This player is going to be a Villa Legend and I feel he needs a song befitting. I gather even he is not overly fussed with it.
Has anyone seen Liverpool’s Virgil Van Dyke song, the Pogues ‘Dirty OldTown.’ It is different class...surely our big man deserved something similar... (Check out Jamie Webster singing it on YouTube with their fans). UTV

The way our player songs are going lately it’s probably safer that we stick with what he’s got.

He's got two already. The three little birds version is perfect.

I think Super Jack is a classic.  Sung previously for the likes of Tommy Johnston.  It's now his song and I think it works well.

I don't like it. I thought it was shit when Arsenal were singing it at VP for Wilshere during the Be teke diving header game and since then I've hated it.

He deserves an original song.

Don't worry bout a thing
Coz Villa's centre half is Tyrone Mings

I like this but it's not great to get going and repeat in the stands.

The "He's here" chant works for me although I prefer the 3 little birds song.

There was a Villa fan on Twitter who met Tyrone’s dad at an away game and reckons that Tyrone doesn’t like his song due the the F word in it.

I go home and away and have never heard the 3 Little Birds been sung!! Having said that, it is a class anthem and anyone that doesn’t know it or thinks it won’t work, type it into YouTube with Ajax, it’s one of their anthems and absolutely class.

We were definitely singing it at Spurs on Saturday. It got going in the Irish Centre, and was sung on the concourse at the ground.

There was a group of 5-6 lads at Charlton in front of us singing it too. I like it.
