August fixtures: Next 3 Games.
« on: August 14, 2019, 08:32:37 AM »
This is the time when Villa will be well placed to take on a more attacking aggressive, tactical forward mode -especially with 2 matches at Villa Park.
What are your current thoughts on the August Premier League fixtures up to the international break?

My Result/ Points prediction for August are as follows.

Bournemouth (h) W
Everton (h) D
Crystal Palace (a) W
WDW 7PTS

I'm hopeful of Villa having 2/3 wins in August and remaining undefeated at home.

Allez Allez Allez.

I will reserve judgement till I see how we get on against Bournemouth, it's really hard to determine this with very little to go on.

I would expect most teams will raise their game against the top teams, as we have done in previous seasons, but then fall backwards for other more winnable games.  So let's see how we do on Saturday.

This can only go one way - 3 straight defeats and impending doom and implosion as predicted by the all seeing and knowing Oracle that is Talk Sport.

These threads never go well. 😢

Which is why I stopped doing them after the disaster of Jan/Feb. I didn’t do one for March and look what happened.

Well, according to that idiot on TalkSport, if Tyrone Mings was any good then Bournemouth wouldn't have sold him.  So we can infer from this that clubs only sell players who are shit, so everyone we've just bought is a load of crap, despite any evidence to the contrary.

So I'm off to put my house on Villa never winning another game, ever.  ;D

Bournemouth are generally not a good away team and Palace are just not a good team full stop. I think we will win those two. I would take a point against Everton, although who knows as Everton are a bit Jeckyll & Hyde.

Don't do this FFS!

Someone always has to do this, lists the next few fixtures, predicts we'll do extremely well, only for us embark on a slump.

Crystal Palace and Everton both looked very average against each other in their first game of the season. Similarly Bournemouth weren’t particularly impressive against Sheff Utd. If we play well and all our new players start to gel then we could win all 3 games...if only football was that simple!

Anyone following Villa over the years is more than aware we do not do as predicted.
