Still excited but a little less so seeing that team.

I guess we are still integrating players but hope that Targett plays much more often that Taylor this season.  Bit of a solid looking feel about the selection rather than gung ho, with Guilbert and Targett playing, perhaps Dean thinks they will pick us off.  The centre of the park is a concern with Hourihane in there at this level.  Oh well, let's try to enjoy it, we knew it was going to be tough and this game does not define our season!

Agreed, I want Hutton and Heskey as defensive wingers!

I have no probs with Elmo playing....in all honesty does he really deserve to be be dropped? I don’t think so.
But Taylor ..WTF.?
And will help Trez too you would imagine, I'm staying up beat for now.

Anybody else having issues logging into Now TV?

Yes I did. Had to reset my password even though it was the same one I've always used.

Taylor????

spend 14 million on a LB and play ' oh fuck Im too far up the pitch , Im scared ' Taylor and I thought Guilbert looked excellent in pre season .

Yes Elmo is experience , doesnt mean you are a prem quality ,maybe hes playing him to hold Trezs hand as I was expecting Jota to start.

Anyway we are back and it feels good...

Ha ha Fulham eh?! I’ll flummox them by playing Neil Taylor instead!

Its a totally bizarre decision to play Taylor, a player most fans have wanted to see the back of from the minute he arrived.

He looked exposed in the Championship never mind against one of the big 6 and Champions League finallists.

When we have paid £20million this summer on 2 players who are far superior at left back in Targett and Hause.

Needless risk on the opening day from Smith.

Even Brighton and Burnley have chalked up three goal wins.

Welcome to the Premier League.

Eriksen not starting for them is a bonus, mind.

Keeping some faith in the core and some experience out on the pitch.

Not a big fan of Taylor but in Dean we trust. Guilbert doesn’t even fit on the bench, but looking at the bench I can see why. Good balanced subs bench

If we are going to be defensive minded today then Taylor makes no sense. Hopefully it is a measure to usurp Pochettino's planning as surely he expected Targett.

I thought that, but the others look very powerful midfielders all of a sudden.  I guess we have to try to take the positives from this and get minutes under Douglas's belt in the second half if we can, knowing we have two home games up next.  Tottenham aren't quite right either at the moment.
