The days of capacity crowds seem to have disappeared even when it's seemingly sold out.

This game is going to be fun  if we sell out every game and they put the same maximum attendance figure up every time.

They haven’t repeated themselves so far. It’s er, one of the fings what keeps this competition edgy!  On with the guesses!

For some anoraks, like me, 39,339 and then 39,372 before dropping back to 39,217 will being back memories. Where did those seats appear from and then disappear to.

Capacity increased when we "improved" the Trinity Road Stand, I think. It reduced slightly when we had to install extra cameras for the brief 3D fad. Since then we have rarely had a capacity crowd due to the opposition not selling out (eg Burton, Blackburn, Millwall) or because of police segregation issues (eg Blose, Norwich, Baggies in the playoffs).

Those capacities were before the Trinity was rebuilt though, so seats appeared and then disappeared.

And main reason was we gave away sides less in division 2, and left a block of seats empty between them and the North.
