I've just seen the Villa chaplain (@astonvicar) tweet a message of encouragement for the season.

I didn't know we had a chaplain. What do they do?

God's work, Darren.

Really hope Wesley can get off the mark early on in his career with us.

Bruges apparently used to tape his hands uo to remind him to keep calm
Are you sure his hands were not taped up to preserve his eyesight.

I was taking the piss on Facebook about various things a moment ago and apparently not only is Soccer AM still a thing but Tom Knibb is one of the Villa fans on there. Much as I hate that programme I might find a rerun of it.

Like most opening games of the season, you can never tell which way it is going to go (apart from last night). I'd be ecstatic with the three points, happy with the draw and as long as it's not a hammering, not overly disappointed if we lost.

There are going to be handful of games where you just know it’s going to be bloody hard. Liverpool, Man City and Sours, home or away, it doesn’t matter, they are the comfortable top 3 in the league. Anything from these games is a massive plus. After that I don’t see why we cannot compete in almost every case on an even footing, or very close to it. Today is about tactics, confidence, chemistry and figuring out just who were are and what we might become. I agree, we might lose, but if we do, it’s what was the storyline created in our defeat? The Villa we remember from our last PL campaign lost before we kicked off. It won’t be at all the case this season.

Would anybody know what park and ride tube station is best? Concerned where I park may have restrictions on it now.

Oh the M6...I have not fucking missed you.
