Not sure if it's been posted anywhere yet, but just in case....

A little something (well, 17mins of absolute belters!) to whet the appetite for our return to the big time tomorrow evening!  :)

Enjoy!  UTV

Is it really beginning to grate on anyone else how all these so called 'experts' are predicting how much we are going to struggle and we are in a dog fight to survive?

There is so much trash in this league, I mean seriously how many Bournemouth, Brighton, Burnley, Crystal Palace, Newcastle, Norwich, Sheff Utd, Southampton and Watford players would get in our side? Yet these 'experts' have the likes of Bournemouth and Burnley riding high and us as relegation fodder.

I can really see us around 10th most the season and with a bit of luck going our way even higher.

Villa to win 3-2. With a VAR awarded penalty in 90(+2) mins.

A lot of those clubs are well established Premier League clubs though so 10th to me sounds very optimistic. I'm thinking 14th/15th but away from the relegation scrap comfortably.

Spurs, like every other team this season, are going to have to play very, very, very well to beat us as we go fearlessly toe-to-toe with them.
They won't manage it. Our new defence will show its mettle. Our front five will live up to all our hopes.

2-0 us. Marker well and truly put down. Glory awaits this team, I'm convinced of it.

I think an open attacking game but they have more quality and more nous. 4.2 to them and we become everyone's 2nd favourite team this year.

I'll be bloody disappointed if our new England international goalkeeper and the quality players in front of him let in four first time out. Might as well have kept the bollocks we had before.

The three promoted teams will always be amongst the favourites to be relegated. Add to that the play off winners are usually the hot odds on favourites to go straight back down but the pundits actually fancy our chances to survive the drop more than the two reams automatically promoted. We have also made a lot of new signings, some unproven in the Premier League so it is easy for people to throw around the 'do a Fulham' phrase. So personally I don't bother about the pundits opinions. I do think we have a very tough game to start the season with tomorrow and hope we come out of it relatively unscathed. The last thing we need is a heavy defeat, which Spurs are capable of dishing out to most teams on a good day.

Morning! My first game was at villa park, semi final v leicester. Great english football stadium.

Anyway, welcome back to the first division. Our starting eleven will most likely be 4-2-3-1

Lloris
Walker-Peters Sánchez Vertonghen Rose
Winks Sissoko
Moura Eriksen Lamela
Kane

Dont expect to see Lo Celso/Sessegnon in the squad, NDombele on the bench.

Good luck!

What the pundits fail to take into account is that we got promoted through the play-offs after giving the rest of the league a half season head start!

If we'd started the season with Smith in charge (plus our January recruits), we'd have gone up as Champions, absolutely pissing that league!

i think we'll surprise a few this season, and it could be a blessing that everyone is underestimating us.   ;)

Hmm - still a very strong looking line up without Son and Alli. Will Rose start ahead of Davies?

No. They aren't experts. Just paid opinion makers largely.

Well that's a very pleasant oppo post. Is Winks really playing that deep? I'd have thought Ndombele came in early enough in the summer to be first XI by now.
