They have a few out and we ran all over Leipzig on Saturday (albeit a friendly).
The least I expect is a really solid performance and a narrow loss however, gone for a draw in the poll.

I’ll be not happy, but maybe you could say content, with worse case 1-goal defeat. I’d dearly love to FTF though! I’ve got a Spurs supporting mate and the last few seasons have been pretty bad with the snidey remarks and all the rest of it. It would be great to have something genuine to rub his nose into, rather than just being able to chuckle at their almost-ran last couple of seasons. I’ve always seen us as similar sized clubs, but with our history overshadowing theirs. I’d love a good solid performance with a Jammy last minute winner!!  Come on you Lion!!

It has to be a Villa win...I'm interested to see if Douglas or Marvelous get on the pitch.

I can't stop smiling everytime I hear we've got a player called Marvelous.    :)

I think we will get a 1-1 draw there we might even nick a 2-1 win but I will stick with a draw.

They are notoriously poor starters to the new season. We will surprise them and shock them with a convincing win.

we were 14/1 at one time to beat Spurs

you can still get 11/1 easily

those are long odds on a first game where no one knows what we will be like with the new players etc
after our pre season it’s got to be worth a go

As John e said , how can they really plan against us. They will have no idea how we will set up, or even who plays. I think that will apply for the first 4 or 5 games, as new players are included. The other thing is, It wouldn't surprise me if there isn't a transfer out of the spuds team before the game.

Realistically, a Spurs win. But you never know! I think it will be useful to see how we deal with pressure and whether the players keep their heads up and don't collapse whatever's happening.
