Jesus. Enough.
What's wrong?

I've no idea what that was about. I'm guessing, perhaps it was wrong thread or something!

Never post on here whilst arguing with the wife.

Indeed, though I suspect I'm always either arguing or preparing for the next one...

Appears to be off to Man U. Good luck to him. He will get more games for them I imagine and suggests that one of their current keepers is off. Shame it didn’t work out in the end because he came to us with a superb reputation. But in a roundabout way as these things sometimes happen we massively upgraded with Emi and have Jed Steer as back up. Nothing wrong with that.

Slightly surprised he's leaving our bench for another bench to be honest. Not so long ago he was in Enlgand contention.

Possibly more money or a longer contract than the unexpired term at the Villa. Though most likely that he is the fact that he is from Chester and played for Burnley for 6 years before joining us, so I imagine it suits him to be closer to home.

It's a shame he's going.

Good luck to him. Didn’t work out here but that was purely down to injury misfortune.

Agreed. I imagine he is a good influence around the place, though we have a great first choice and a decent back-up option, so it is good management to move him on and make funds available for other signings/upgrades.

He actually came through the MAn United youth ranks (has an FA Youth Cup winners medal from 2003 as it happens), so actually it's his career coming full circle.

Is he out of contract? We paid Burnley 8 or 10m for a keeper on a two year deal.... madness. Since Given and until Emi, we've been cursed with goalies. They've either been a waste of money or not up to it.

Man Utd will be playing more games than us so he'll get to play. And if you're going to sit on a bench, you had may as well do it where you started and collect a medal or two along the way.

Good luck to him, if it hadn't been for his injury, I suspect we wouldn't have bought Martinez.

We haven't been great on Managers either. The compensation we've paid out nevermind the wages whilst they were here just this century must be enough to rebuild the North Stand and some.

Although I imagine that could be said at a lot of clubs. Chelsea, Spurs, Man City, Man U, Arsenal etc etc. The list is long of highly paid managers getting dumped and paid long after their departure. Shit, if you’ve ever employed Mourinho that must be very, very expensive.

I was chuffed when we signed him as he was a clear upgrade on Nyand, shame he was out for so long with a bad injury but good luck to him. No doubt he will be getting a nice pay rise and signing on fee from his new club.
